On 13-16 October 2003, Federation of Family Planning
Associations, Malaysia in collaboration with Ministry
of Education, Curriculum Development Centre successfully
organized a Training of Trainers on RHAM Skills
– Building Workshop (RSBW) on Adolescent
Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) & HIV/AIDS.
This training was aimed at training teachers,
trainers and educators on the usage of Reproductive
Health of Adolescents Module to ensure effective
and continual dissemination of SRH and HIV/AIDS
information and awareness. The objectives for
the training were that at the end of the training,
A total number of 40 teachers from West Malaysia
were selected to participate in this training.
During the training, several activities had been
carried out such as talks, workshop and presentation.
The participants participated actively during
- Become more sensitised to issues related
to sexuality and reproductive health.
- Have improved their understanding on the
concepts and implications of Sexual and Reproductive
Health (SRH) & HIV/AIDS on adolescents.
- Be able to effectively use the FFPAM RHAM
to impart knowledge and responsible life skills
to adolescents on their SRH & HIV/AIDS.
